Balance

Many seek the perception of balance. Feeling like you can carry your load without faltering.

I was reminded of this concept while trying to balance on one leg while lifting and moving a Surge trainer (water filled weights). When I moved with a slow, deliberate pace, keeping my eye on a spot just in front of me, I was able to stay balanced. As soon as I was distracted or moved too fast, I lost my balance. It was a fitting metaphor for life. Our brains respond well when we provide a good message. So, decide your load, pick a focused spot to keep attention to, and move with a deliberate pace. And you may experience the perception of balance. And if you falter, you can chuckle, pick yourself up, and try again.
