Take a nap and lower your expectations. That’s what I do. Because I don’t have time to make lemonade. I don’t have time for sick kids, shedding dogs, or taxes, but shit happens. That’s life, so go with it. You can have all sorts of expectations of your day, week, or life, and then something happens that wasn’t in your plan. So, take a breath, nap if you need to, and re-adjust your expectations. And know this truth: You can only control yourself. You don’t control things outside of your own mind. So, control your response, and it will all be fine. And if you have established good habits, you’ll find your equilibrium. We’ll talk about habits in another post. But for now, don’t slip on a lemon.
